The Conference Venue

The conference will take place in the Buildings NW II and NW I on the campus of the University of Bayreuth. Direction signs on the university campus will guide you to the conference venues. The postal address is:

The plenary talks including the Lorenz Kramer Memorial Lecture take place in the lecture hall H15 in the building NW I. Minisymposia and Contributed Sessions take place in various lecture halls (H16-H19) in the building NW II. Their locations are indicated in the maps at the end of this chapter.

Registration

Registration is open from Monday morning, 8:00. Please come to the registration desks located in the building NW II upon arrival at the conference venue. The conference fee includes daily lunch, dinner on Monday, conference dinner on Wednesday, and excursion.

Internet

Internet access will be available through eduroam in all conference areas. In order to connect to the network, you have to register for eduroam at your home university.

Alternatively, you can get access to the university WiFi via a personalized guest login. Please contact the Conference Office for more information.

Coffee breaks

Coffee breaks will take place in front of the lecture halls H17 and H18/H19.

Lunch during the week and Dinner on Monday

Lunch will take place in the university cafeteria ('Mensa'). Please follow the signs at the stairs in the cafeteria. You are free to choose from the daily menus. The daily menus are listed at the Information Boards.

Upon registration you receive five vouchers which you can use to pay for your lunch during the week.

Dinner on Monday evening will be served in the university cafeteria.

Public Transportation

Public buses commute regularly between the city center and the university campus. All bus lines start from the central bus station ('ZOH'). There are two bus lines directly to the university: Line 306 to 'Campus' and line 304 to 'Birken-Universität'. Exit the bus at the bus stop 'Mensa' and follow the signs to the conference venue. Bus tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver or at the ticket counter at the 'ZOH' (central bus station). Bus schedules can be found on the information boards, in the Conference Office and in the internet at http://www.vgn.de.
